COMMENTS:

  • I played a relatively small role in the production of Dinotopia since I was working primarily on Robotech at the time.

  • My main responsibility was the animation of non-enemy NPCs. I created animation sets for town's people, children, friendly dinosaurs, and several mechanical creatures including the final boss mech.

  • I created several custom animations (synched to dialog) for the in-game cinematics.

  • I created custom shaders for surfaces the required reflection masks, animated textures, shadow maps, spherical reflection maps, etc.

  • Toward the end of the project I was in charge of creating and editing the opening movie. I captured footage from the game and created the movies using Adobe Premiere.
