  OLD WEST TOWN ENVIRONMENT - MAYA MODELING

COMMENTS:

  • I created this "Old West" environment as part the "Gobs O Fun" amusement park for South Peak Interactive's "Scooby Doo - Mystery of the Fun Park Phantom" game.

  • I modeled and textured each element of the town in Maya. Models consist of both polygonal and NURBS surfaces and textures are both image-based and procedural. I also animated many parts of the environment that would become "hot spots" using morph targets, bones deformation, and straight translation and rotation.

  • I used Photoshop to touch up the final renders. The lighting was intended to portray bright moonlight as the game takes place at night. Lighting effects were created both in Maya and through the use of custom Photoshop filters. Additional lighting (not shown here) is added by the game engine.
